EMR Inc.  ·  Research environment

The Lab.

Where the measurement work is done. The research libraries, the event classes, the scoring method and the records they run against all live inside it. This page is the door. Nothing from inside it is published here.

Sign in required. Access is held on a named list and is not requested here.

What it is

A working environment, not a publication.

The Lab is where a question becomes a method and a method becomes a number. Research libraries are read inside it, an event is categorised against stated criteria, and the result carries the rule that produced it and the source behind that rule.

It is a separate environment with its own sign in, on its own domain, holding its own records. That separation is the design. The public site has no login on any page, so nothing that needs one belongs on it.

Who reaches it

Named members of the EMR Inc. team. The list is held in the environment's own database, the application cannot read it, and an unanswered access question is refused rather than allowed.

What it holds

Research libraries, event classes and the criteria that route an event to one. The documents stay inside: an index of them on a public page is an index of what to go looking for.

What it does not do

It states no clinical finding, makes no prediction and assigns no status to a person. A figure describes exposure already recorded. It does not forecast anything, and nothing in it is a diagnosis.

Where a member figure is read

Not here, and not by an employer. An individual member's record is read by the member and the body that represents them. Departments and employers use appropriate aggregate reporting.

Nothing on this page is a result. It describes an environment and links to it. Work that has been run and can be cited goes on the research page, with its source and its denominator stated.
