Inside Expect Victims · The union side
The branch that does face the desk. Built per local, a la carte. Aggregated at department and shift level, so the local can argue with numbers instead of anecdotes.
Sign in required. Accounts are issued to the local, not requested here.
What it is
Every figure is built from dispatch records the agency already generates. Nothing in it is recalled, estimated by the member, or entered after the fact. That is the whole reason it holds up when somebody on the other side of the table disputes it.
It is not a second login and it is not a separate product. CALL/SIGN is the union facing cut of Expect Victims, carrying the same measurements the platform already takes, arranged for the person who has to make the case rather than the person on the truck.
Who it is built with
IAFF locals and the members they represent are the primary partners. Departments and employers can support implementation and use appropriate aggregate reporting, while individual member records remain controlled by the member.
What it measures
Fire Exposure Score, Sleep Debt Index and Work Intensity Index, the three OHPAH metrics, plus the dispatch activity they are built from. Broken out by department and by shift.
Where the numbers come from
Public dispatch and incident records, the county property appraiser for construction era, and the American Community Survey for community context. The dashboard carries a method page naming the source of every figure on it.
What it cites
Published findings are shown with the journal and the PubMed ID, so any claim read aloud in a hearing can be checked by the person hearing it. Work EMR is still running is shelved separately and labelled as unreviewed.
These are counts of observed dispatch activity. They are not a clinical finding, they are not a diagnosis, and they are not a forecast. The member owns the record and can export it. Departments see aggregates only.
Getting in
There is no public signup. CALL/SIGN is built per local and scoped to that local's own departments, so an account only means anything once there is a local behind it. If your local already has one, sign in at the link above.
If it does not, say so and we will walk through what your departments already publish and what could be measured from it.
